ISF / 10+2

The Importer Security Filing and Additional Carrier Requirements (commonly referred to as 10+2) set forth in the Maritime Security Act became effective on January 26, 2009. The ruling was created to increase security measures and help prevent terrorist weapons from being transported to the United States. Importers and carriers are required to submit additional information pertaining to cargo to US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) before the cargo is brought into the United States by vessel. The details must be submitted at least 72 hours prior to vessel loading. The regulations call for a penalty of $5,000.00 per shipment for late or inaccurate information. Gridiron can have the ISF information submitted to CBP for our customers, but we must receive the required details no later then 96 hours prior to vessel loading.

For more information on this ruling please visit:
http://www.cbp.gov/linkhandler/cgov/trade/cargo_security/carriers/security_filing/10_2faq.ctt/10_2faq.doc or contact our team for help.

We have created the below web form to make the process of complying with the ISF easier for our customers. Listed below are the 10 elements required to file the ISF or "10+2". This information must be submitted to U.S. Customs no later than 72 hours prior to lading. This information must be submitted to Gridiron Forwarding Co., Inc. no later than 96 hours prior to lading, so we can meet this requirement. By entering all the information below and clicking submit, you are certifying that all the information is correct and true, and understand that this will be filed with U.S. Customs as reported on your behalf.
